WAR

Wilted blooms
Their dreams crushed
Without a second thought
Tears evade the eyes
Smiles are aliens
Only bombings and firing
Nothing else is heard
Or spoken
Screams, cries and groans
Go deaf in bang… boom…rap… rap
Why should I care?
They’re not my kin
Not of my blood or faith
My silence is honed
I’ve practiced day and night
And trained to feel nothing
To keep my conscience numb
This is war
I kill to live
And will be killed
For someone’s need to live

Did you had any particular war in mind...war is an encompassing word...well captured yet something missing, can't say what it is or rather which emotion it is, that's for you to figure out but definitly way to go.

They are ironic and expose the layers of hipocracy which envelop people.

Great poems with short passages make them memorable and thought provoking. Keep it up

I love to read 'war' again...This is part of our Delhi life or I would call it one of the ways we enter into a new culture:-). But somemhow i dint like the name WAR.
